I feel for you having those c-sections. It's been almost 35 years since I gave birth to my daughter that way, due to my high-risk status as a diabetic. I remember the pain afterward, and how long it took to do the simplest things, such as going for a short walk. Maybe it's a synchronicity that I mentioned the birth of my daughter in my post today (Finding the Magic). In any case, how delightful that you're making art and sharing videos, and that your son used his voice in a way that makes him proud. Bright blessings to you and yours.
I didn’t plan to write about my labor, I was editing my piece this morning and it came pouring out. It’s definitely a bit of synchronicity… I remember trying to kneel down and struggling because it was difficult to stand back up, and holding Juner and making sure she stayed up and away from the incision site because it was so tender… I spent a lot of time in really lose overalls because they didn’t put any pressure on my abdomen and I could nurse easily still.
It was the strangest sensation ever, the pressure was so strong… there’s things I don’t remember but I can still feel that sensation when I think about it.
