A Desire To Repair
A bit about the collection launching tomorrow and what's behind this work...
My work is seeded from a deep desire to repair…
Fully rooted in nature and a never ending exploration of wonder…
There’s something about the way nature and wonder intertwine together and form connection that’s wholly captivating…
Forming pathways that can build connection to a place outside of yourself and within. Something that can be known with a deep level of intimacy and a true understanding of just how wildly connected everything is. Intimacy with the land is something that can be nurtured but feels like something that’s been lost somewhere along the way.
Art has always felt like such a beautiful jumping off point for all of this. It can illuminate that spark of wonder we all have, the excitement that comes with creativity, a hint of playfulness intwined in beauty. An open doorway for discovery beyond the work itself.
This collection of prints began from a small collection of wall sculptures I’d been working on over the last year. Initially my plan was to curate them into an immersive exhibition but life took a few unexpected turns. Making long term plans has a way of making that happen I think. So instead I took those pieces and began photographing them layered into my garden at dusk. Then I broke my arm and was forced to realllly slow down. So I started working on my computer from the back of my car (More on that here) where I could watch life dance in the garden.
That’s where the other half of the prints came from. That time spent observing all the things that were visiting my garden everyday and getting familiar with them and then sharing that with my kids and all of you.

Everything shown in this post will be available for preorder beginning tomorrow evening (Monday October 13th, 6pm CST). The preorder will run through Sunday night and prints will be shipped in the following two weeks. Currently I have it set up to only ship within the US but if you’re overseas and are wanting to place an order reach out to me and I’ll get it sorted so you can.
Please take a minute to like and share this, your support makes it possible for me to continue my work.
Cheers,
Bec
